MGI keeps on blogging

MGI’s blog channel on the popular accountancy website www.accountingweb.co.uk, has continued to be a useful forum for member firms to have their say on the latest issues affecting the financial sector.

During the last quarter, Noel Kelleway from Rickard Keen recounted a recent speech he had given to a group of solicitors in Essex on how to boost productivity in a recession, which has now been viewed around 1,000 times.

Tony Kenney from Copsey Murray posted a blog on the new incentives being offered by the Irish government to encourage businesses to relocate to the country, while John Kinsella from Watson Buckle blogged on the potential benefits offered by salary exchange schemes.

Most recently, Andy White from Carter Backer Winter shared his thoughts on the new 50% tax rate, and the potential pitfalls of some of the methods people may be considering to avoid it. In its first week, his post attracted in the region of 300 hits.

Any MGI member who would like to contribute a blog, or suggest an idea for one, in future should contact Paul Winder.
