Introducing Milsted Langdon

MGI UK and Ireland was delighted to welcome Milsted Langdon as a member last year. The South West-based firm has offices in Taunton, Yeovil and Bristol, housing 16 partners and around 170 staff.

With an increasing number of its clients doing business abroad, and needing access to advice and expertise on overseas jurisdictions, the firm took the decision to join MGI to help the firm move on to the next level.

The firm provides a range of financial services and advice to owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals and listed companies. It also runs its own IT consultancy and has extensive expertise in corporate turnaround, insolvency, international tax planning, Initial Public Offerings and audits for listed companies.

Milsted Langdon has grown rapidly since it was founded just over 20 years ago, largely thanks to recommendations by existing clients and professional contacts of the practice.  It has always strived to exceed clients’ expectations by delivering a pragmatic and pro-active service in a timely way.

In recent times it has become increasingly difficult for any one person to provide general accountancy advice which is why Milsted Langdon has developed a team of specialists with expertise in a wide range of disciplines from VAT and international tax to corporate finance and insolvency. 

However, the partners are always careful to avoid a ‘silo mentality’ and try hard to make sure that the left hand always knows what the right hand is doing so that the advice is genuinely ‘joined up’. This is particularly important when dealing with owner-managed businesses in which the aspirations of the owners and their families are intrinsically linked to the strategies to be adopted by the businesses that they own.
