Marketing update

Targeting for new members continues in this last quarter of the with a focus on attracting member firms from the North West, Wales, North East and Scotland regions.  All target firms on the database have been invited to the annual conference and we are also focusing on inviting some potential North West members to attend for free.

The website continues to be a supporting tool for new member targeting and we are constantly adding new email addresses to the prospect list.

The MGI website welcomed 247 visitors over the last month, visiting an average of 2.67 pages and spending just under two minutes on the site. Of these, 61 per cent came to the site via search engines, 25 per cent arrived through links from other sites and 14 per cent navigated to the site directly.

The most popular search term leading to the site was ‘MGI’ itself, but the site also attracted visitors through searches for terms including ‘international accountants’, ‘accountants networks’ and ‘accounting conferences’.

PR and blogging continue with contributions from member firms and we are also looking at how to leverage our presence across a social media platform via LinkedIn and Twitter.
