Non-partner meeting

Member firms had specifically requested that we had a seminar this year for seniors and managers, which specifically excluded all partners.

This took place at the beginning of July at the Lane End Conference Centre on a Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, to ensure that the delegates had some ‘bonding time’ on Friday evening.

On the Friday afternoon, we had an interactive presentation on the ‘Platinum Rule’. This is a technique to help people understand the needs of whoever they are communicating with to ensure they present information in the most effective manner possible. On Friday evening, we had a barbecue, which ended up with a large number of delegates in the local pub until the early hours!

Everyone was remarkably sprightly on Saturday morning, and we spent the time discussing MGI and with delegates presenting on each of their firms, since it had become clear on the Friday that members knew surprisingly little about each other and about MGI.
