MGI UK & Ireland Board of Directors and International Committee Representative

MGI UK & Ireland is managed by Paul Winder on a day to day basis with the support of a board of directors made up of 6 representatives from firms in our region who are able to offer guidance. 

Currently Peter Winter, Robin Sewell, Alan Worsdale, David Warren, Robert Radford and Bill Johnston fill these positions. Each year 2 directors retire by rotation and this year it is Robin and Robert. In addition, for personal reasons, David is also stepping down. Normally appointments are for 3 years but in the first instance the additional position David leaves open is just for one year, as he would have retired next year.

I am pleased by the response that I have had from member firms who have put forward 5 candidates for these positions as follows: 

1. Roger Isaacs, Milsted Langdon
2. Phil Ewing, Harrison Beale & Owen
3. John Kinsella, Watson Buckle
4. Robert Radford, Rowleys
5. Jonathan Farrow, Midgley Snelling

I will send around voting instructions to each firm towards the end of October, so there's plenty of time to get campaigning!

Since 2007 Robin Sewell has been our regional representative on the International Committee that manage MGI globally. His period of office comes to an end at the AGM in New York. The role is an important link between members in our region/the UK & Ireland board and the other regions of MGI around the world. For this reason the position is normally taken by one of the board members. We are fortunate that one of the board members has put himself forward to take over from Robin and I am pleased to say that Peter Winter was unanimously supported by the board to take up this position. Peter will attend the International Committee Meeting with Robin in New York and will formally take over this responsibility thereafter.
