Introducing Muras Baker Jones

MGI UK & Ireland’s newest member, Wolverhampton-based Muras Baker Jones, has a long track record in knowing what clients want and delivering it in the right way.

With a history that dates back to 1880, Muras Baker Jones is one of the largest independent firms in the West Midlands, with eight partners and around 50 staff, delivering the full range of accountancy, business advice and tax services.

Managing partner Chris Morris highlights the not-for-profit sector – including sports clubs, foundation schools and charities ranging from small local organisations to branches of national bodies – as one of its key specialisms, with other areas of particular expertise including its Licensed Insolvency Practitioner arm, Muras Baker Jones Business Recovery and Insolvency, and financial services, delivered through Muras Baker Jones Financial Services Ltd. Exit planning is another area where the firm is particularly strong.

Across its services, Chris credits the firm’s continuing growth in size and reputation to getting the fundamentals right: providing sound, practical advice and value for money. He says: “Like other MGI member firms, we do everything that the national firms do but we are local, we will give a more personal service, at a higher level, and we will do what we do in a more cost-effective way”.
