Training takes the pain out of IT
There are very few businesses that don’t use Word, Excel or Outlook. Most users understand that they only know how to use a fraction of what these applications can do. Indeed they probably don’t have any need to know about the advanced functionality of these applications but there will almost certainly be things that, if they were taught how to do them, could increase their effectiveness and productivity very significantly.
For that reason Milsted Langdon has recruited a specialist trainer and launched a new service designed to support businesses who want to put their computers and their use of Microsoft Office software to work in a more productive manner.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) software training, used effectively, can deliver real bottom line benefits to all organisations. These include:
- rapid increase in job competence and skills
- training matched to company need
- cost efficiency
- increased staff motivation.
Milsted Langdon’s aim is to deliver the highest standards of training for new and existing users of Microsoft business applications and make the training as relevant as possible to the needs of that business. Chris Downing, manager of Milsted Langdon’s Business Intelligence team, said: “So many of us use computers on a daily basis but are simply unaware of the functionality that exists in the software.
“We recognise that many business people and their teams find it frustrating when they know that core applications such as Word and Excel can do certain things that would be really helpful to them but can’t work out how to make it happen. The feedback we have received to date for Roy Watson, our trainer, has simply been fantastic. Delegates just keep coming back for more training as they discover ways to save time and money and become more effective in their jobs”.
