Accountancy Alliance MGI Issues Conference Invitation
An opportunity to gain an insight into the benefits of membership of the global accountancy alliance MGI is on offer as its UK and Ireland arm prepares to hold its 2011 annual conference.
The event, which will take place from 1-3 December at the Oatlands Park Hotel, Weybridge, Surrey, will have as its theme “The practice of 2021”.
Delegates from member firms will discuss challenges for the coming decade including the impact of online services on compliance work, how recruitment and marketing may need to change and whether accountancy firms will become candidates for transformation in the same way that High Street opticians have been commoditised by big name chains.
Paul Winder, chief executive officer of MGI UK and Ireland, said: “Our conference is an ideal opportunity for member firms to look ahead and to learn from each other as they focus on meeting the changing needs of clients while remaining independent, competitive and distinctive.
“Our conference is an excellent way for our members to discuss, debate and share knowledge and experience and we would also be happy to welcome guests, particularly delegates from firms considering whether to join our alliance and which would like to learn more about the benefits of being part of MGI.”
MGI globally has 158 members and a presence in 280 offices and 82 countries across all continents, making it one of the largest alliances of independent auditing, accounting and consulting firms in the world.
The cost of attending the conference, including accommodation and all meals, is £395 per delegate. For more information, visit www.mgi-uk.com.
