CBW celebrates 'Oscar' success
CBW has lifted the accountancy equivalent of an Oscar by being named 2011 UK MidTier Firm of the Year in the new British Accountancy Awards.
The firm, announced as the winner at a ceremony held at
Old Billingsgate Market, London, on 30 November, was
praised by judges for its clientcentred
approach.
They said the firm was “an outstanding example of all the staff contributing to a more successful, more enjoyable, more rewarding and more profitable business.”
Managing partner Peter Winter said he was “incredibly proud” to accept the award,
adding: “This is our industry’s equivalent of an Oscar and I’m delighted that everyone
at CBW played a role in helping us win it.
“Over the last few years the whole firm has worked tirelessly
to move CBW from being a great firm to being a truly
inspirational one.
“Winning this award is recognition that we are making great progress on this journey. It seems strange now but as recently as three years ago we never would have dreamt that we could be accepting this, the highest possible award in the industry. I am truly delighted.”
The British Accountancy Awards – successor to the longstanding Accountancy Age Awards – feature robust reviews involving a specialist advisory panel of some of the most respected members of the accountancy profession.
With more rigorous criteria and a greater focus on the key issues underpinning practice and professional development, the awards are designed to reward outstanding performance and innovation across the sector, from small local firms to the larger regional, national and global players.
